Fair Politics thanks Jürgen Klute for fight against tax crimes
MEP Jürgen Klute amended the draft report of Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs & Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs asking more transparency about capital flows and taxation in trade agreements.
MEP Jürgen Klute (GUE/NGL) fights financial crimes with more transparency
Klute proposes that trade agreements with third countries should include an automatic data exchange, including information about capital flows and taxation. He also proposes that after five years it should be evaluated how trade agreements between the EU and third countries affect the fight against financial crimes.
This openness and exchange of information can help track down financial crimes which also affect developing countries. With the exchange of information and the evaluation it can be easier to track down activities that have major negative impacts on people in developing countries.
